Valentina is tired of having Down’s syndrome. She is convinced that’s the reason preventing her from fulfilling her dream: being a Trapeze artist.
But in a magical journey she will discover all that she is capable of.

Synopsis

Valentina dreams of being a trapeze artist, but she thinks she will never make it because she has Down’s syndrome. Her grandmother – who teaches her how to play chess and many many songs – encourages her not to give up: If caterpillars can become butterflies, nothing is impossible. We must never lose the will to learn; look at me, I am still committed to be a conductor in an orchestra one day!

But Valentina is not that convinced. She thinks that a caterpillar is too disgusting to become a butterfly… What will this metamorphosis her grandmother talks about be like? When she decides to ask her, Mum and Dad give her some startling news: Granny has gone on a trip. On a trip? Without saying goodbye

Logline

Valentina está farta de ter síndrome de Down. Ela está convencida de que é por isso que não conseguirá realizar o seu sonho: ser trapezista.
Porém numa viagem magica descobrirá tudo do que é capaz.

Sinopse

Valentina sonha ser trapezista, mas acha que nunca o conseguirá por ter síndrome de Down. A sua avó – que a ensina a jogar ao xadrez e muitas canções – anima-a a não desistir: Se as lagartas conseguem transformar-se em borboletas, nada é impossível. Nunca devemos perder a vontade de aprender; olha para mim, eu ainda estou empenhada em ser maestrina de uma orquestra algum dia!

Porém Valentina não está lá muito convencida, pensa que uma lagarta é demasiado nojenta para se transformar numa borboleta… Como será essa metamorfose de que fala a avó? Quando decide perguntar-lhe, o Papá e a Mamã dão-lhe uma notícia desconcertante: a Avó foi de viagem. De viagem? Sem se despedir?!
